As far as “worst years ever” go, 2016 will definitely go down as one of the more shocking and devastating years, especially for the entertainment industry. It seemed like every other day there was breaking news about a famed star’s untimely, and often sudden, passing. From the likes of Alan Thicke, Prince, Carrie Fisher, David Bowie, and more, it seemed like the dark cloud that hung over 2016 just wouldn’t end. Tammy Grimes who survived the sinking of the Titanic. In 1964 passed away at the age 0f 82 on October 30. The Tony Award-winning actress gained her fame after starring in the 1960 musical comedy The Unsinkable Molly Brown. In the comedy, Grimes portrayed a millionairess , Grimes also appeared on the CBS drama Mr. Broadway.

Rock & roll legend Glenn Frey was a co-founder of the rock band The Eagles. Frey helped pen many of the group’s famous hit songs such as “Life in the Fast Lane,” and “Hotel California.” Frey passed away at age 67 on January 18. The cause of his death was reported as “septic shock.”
