Océane Buret is a talented self educated photographer from Paris. Coolifornia is one of her latest projects. It is a book full of beautiful, inspirational California photos. You can read her short bio and latest experiences about photography in her own words below.

I studied and currently work in fashion but I have always been passionate by art and music.
Currently living in Paris, I have lived in NY for almost two years, then Auckland for few months and Los Angeles last summer and the last two months. I just got back in Paris.
I have never studied photography but it has always been a real passion for me. I still don’t use any professional camera, just a Canon PowerShot SX200 IS. I started to take photography more seriously when I first went to New York. The city was so breathtaking that I had to capture the unique essence of it.
A lot of things inspire me but I get the most inspired when wandering and getting lost in cities where there is so much happening and contradictive things interacting.
Lately I have been really into capturing Los Angeles because it is a city full of contradictory and i’m fascinated by the “randomness and unexpected beauty” of the architecture there. I like to create photos that show beyond the apparent banality of their subject to interpellate us better, without ever giving an answer. I think its important to create pictures that let people imaginative and pensive. I also like to play with the overwhelming presence of the sky and the never-ending sun shine when capturing images in this iconic city.
