It has been a white i haven’t posted anything about wordpress. Today i’m going to go over some basic tips for making your WordPress site load faster. Optimizing your wordpress blog is the key to see faster loading speeds. Advanced WordPress developers know all of these tricks to make this happen but average web owners and bloggers could find this task quite challenging. WordPress Cms platform, however, has several easy ways that can help you optimize the site and speed up the loading time. The following tips are some of the best and easiest ones. Check out WordPress Performance And Speed Optimization Tips…

Always use cache plugins

Using cache plugin is a must for every wordpress site. Caching is a method wherein all your data files like html pages, images including thumbnails and others are stored temporarily. This is also used to accelerate the loading time of a WordPress site and it is very effective. WordPress offers free plugins designed to cache data easily and this is ideal for most average users. The most popular plugin we would like to recommend is W3 Total Cache which you can find and download HERE.

Remove useless plugins and themes

Frequently check your plug-in containers and delete the ones that don’t use anymore. Too many plug-ins on the same page will load numbers of CSS and JavaScript files which will effect loading time negatively. It is not enough to de-activate the plug-ins you do not use, you should delete them all because even though they are de-activated they still take up allot of needed space. This is also important for unused themes. Just get rid of them completely.

Compress images and video files

You should know that large image files, video files also sound files if you use any can cause your pages to lag too much. WordPress has a wonderful feature that allows you to ‘thumbnail’ your photos, so you can save space and your pages will load much faster. Also try compressing video and image files and reduce it to kilobytes instead of megabytes. There is a useful plugin called WP Smush.it for automatic image optimization. Personally i don’t use it. I prefer to compress my images on my pc with image software called acdsee before uploading. This way i don’t need any extra plugin which is better.

Change & update themesWordPress Performance

One of the most advanced feature of wordpress cms platform is you have option to use themes even with extra handy features. Also you have the option to change-update your theme anytime you want to. The problem is it is really hard to pick right theme from countless wordpress theme sources on internet. There are themes that are loaded down with large graphics and tons of code. Better try choosing a minimalist type of theme. You may not get an eye-candy blog but you would surely get a user-friendly blog. Besides, internet users nowadays are more interested in content, not the design and if it is taking to long for your website to load they will probably go elsewhere.

Change your hosting provider

A simple static html website can be hosted on any kind of hosting server that is offered by any company in the market but when it comes to host a WordPress site, you have to select your hosting more carefully. If you have optimized the quality of image files and done all that you read above and your site still moves slow, then better check with your hosting provider. Sometimes the hosting provider is the culprit. Consider migrating to a more reliable web hosting provider that can ensure more options for your loading problem and wordpress cms.

Compress and combine CSS and JS files

For more advanced users, combining and compressing the css and Javascript would make a visible difference in terms of speed. WordPress also has plugins that will do this work for you. The most famous one is WP Minify. Also ‘’W3 Total Cache’’ has that function which is really handy.
Even if you are not an advanced WordPress user, you can spot defects on your blog and find simple solutions at the same time. There are tons of quality blogs available on the internet including official wordpress support blog. Running a WordPress site makes troubleshooting easier because countless plug-ins are available to address your specific needs.
