Great News for Fans of The Simpsons

The Simpsons have been going strong for 30 years and are not going to be going anywhere soon.  The Fox TV show has been one of TV’s most iconic series and recently moved over to Disney +.  It was hoped that fans would head over to the channel and stream the show but their reaction has been less than enthusiastic.

So what’s the problem?

One of the main reasons for the popularity of The Simpsons was its ability to deal proactively with and even predict some key events in real life.  It is also well known for its clever jokes and visual humor.  The problem is that the show was not designed to be shown on the huge screens that we find on modern TV sets.

Until series 20 the show was produced to be viewed on older style screens at an aspect ration of 4:3.  In the 1990s, this was the standard TV screen size, but Disney+, when it streamed the show, used the 16:9 widescreen aspect ratio.

This might be sounding a bit technical but the upshot of it all was that many of the key visual gags got cropped out and fans were not best pleased, to say the least.  There was a furious backlash online and now Disney has responded positively to address the situation.

In a recent statement, Disney+ confirmed that they had changed the aspect ratio to achieve consistency in quality across all seasons.  However,  in early 2020 the company will return the first 20 seasons of the show to the original aspect ratio and give fans the choice as to how they wish to view the show.

Although the decision by Disney to change the aspect ratio is understandable this latest move is great for the fans who just want to see their favorite show as it was originally intended.  Disney made a good call when it took complaints seriously and went straight in to rectify the problem.

The Simpsons Are Not Disney’s Only Controversy

Alongside the drama surrounding The Simpsons, Disney has also come under fire for some of its marketing of other programs including The Mandalorian.  The series, part of the Star Wars canon has also received criticism.

The Disney team has also been criticized for refusing to include some of the older content like Song of the South, made in 1946, and some of its shorter animated films. There has also been some censorship of jokes in Toy Story 2 and the “Maclunkey” change to Star Wars: A New Hope has received widespread derision from fans.

It seems that Disney is fast becoming a monopoly when it comes to modern popular culture and while it could be argued that omitting potentially controversial movies like Song of the South is a good call, it does mean that Disney can now change just about anything in the offerings that it controls including Fox, Pixar, Star Wars, National Geographic and now Marvel.

It should be of some concern that control rests in the hands of just one company who will decide what we can see and what will no longer be available.

President Trump to honor Jon Voight with National Medal of Arts

For the first time since Trump became president, the prestigious National Medal of Arts will be awarded. The White House announced four recipients of the medal as well as four recipients of the National Humanities Medal in a statement on Sunday night. Trump plans to distribute the awards on Thursday during a ceremony at the White House.

One of the recipients that have drawn the most attention is Oscar-winning actor Jon Voight. The 80-year-old has been involved in quite a few films in his time, but, in addition, he has been a staunch supporter of Trump since the beginning, calling him “the greatest president of the century” as well as the “greatest president since Abraham Lincoln,” who died in office in 1865.

In past administrations, the awarding of these honors has been an annual affair, but this will be the first time since Trump was inaugurated in January 2017. President Obama was the last to give arts or humanities medals in September 2016.

A Long Career of Complex Characters

Voight starred in Midnight Cowboy, a film from 1969 that won an Academy Award for best picture. His starring role in the film Coming Home in 1978 won him an Oscar award for the best actor. In addition, he has appeared in the Showtime series, Ray Donovan. Now, he will receive this medal “for his exceptional capacity as an actor to portray deeply complex characters.”

Alison Krauss, Sharon Percy Rockefeller, and The Musicians of the United States Military will also be receiving the National Medal of Arts while The Claremont Institute, Teresa Lozano Long, Patrick O’Connell, and James Patterson are the recipients of the National Humanities Medal.

Voight often reprimands the Democratic party for their opposition and even explained in full on Twitter why Trump is such a good president.

“This is not peace,” he wrote. “This is not love. This is hate among the radical left. No amount of book smart will show the given policy of what truth stands for. Truth is a powerful emotion. Love … is what we should be voting for.

“And I must say that we — the Republican Party — have voted for renewal, for a place of safety, a community where all can have peace. But this is war among the left. They have hate. It’s like a venom. No words of God, no words of love, but a radical emotion of hate.”

Chrissy Teigen Made Fun of John Legend’s Remake of “Baby It’s Cold Outside”

While making an appearance on the Kelly Clarkson show, model Chrissy Teigen talked about John Legend’s recent remake of the classic Christmas song, “Baby It’s Cold Outside” which was a duet he performed with, none other than, Kelly Clarkson!

It seems that Legend’s voice coaches decided to update the song by removing the controversial lyrics, making it more appealing to the younger Me Too movement generation. What they were not ready for, the backlash was actually quite intense, telling Teigen “they ruined Christmas”.

Clarkson, 37, said people were so mad and Legend had no idea when the Me Too movement pulled the song from any radio stations like a lot of stations do during Christmas.

She added that she loves the original song that John and Clarkson recorded as a duet It seems that the duet got backlash so they decided to give up on the original and recorded a different version that apparently killed Christmas!

During Teigen’s conversation with Clarkson, she criticized people’s various comments, especially from Sharon Osborne. She basically said that Sharon assumed you guys burned them in the backyard and can never listen to them again. She sarcastically added, something about creepy songs and Christmas??

The Argument Against Re-Writing Songs

During the debut of the newly “rewritten” song, Osborne slammed Legend and Clarkson saying that no one should re-record a song just because they find it offensive. She added, what if 40 years from now, someone rewrote one of Legend’s songs because someone found it offensive?

Paraphrasing, she equated it to masterpieces in museums that are nude statues all around the world and millions of people visit each and every year. Would it be OK if she just decided to draw a bikini top on one of those nudes? It’s still a classic form of art.

Osborne said that she loves John Legend, he’s an amazing artist that she respects so why do this? It’s just not right.

To update any who do not know, “Baby, It’s Cold Outside” was an Academy Award-winning song written by Frank Loesser in 1944. It gained recognition in 1949 when it was performed in the film “Neptune’s Daughter”.

It really was never considered a Christmas song, but a winter song. The song has been sung by many artists including Rod Stewart, Dolly Parton, Idina Menzel, and Michael Buble.

Another issued that has risen more than a few eyebrows, this song is copyrighted and owned by someone. Legally, no one has the right to change any part of the song.

To date, the song has been taken off the radio playlist after all the criticism floating around the original as well as Legend and Clarkson rather strange new lyrics.

Someone I met said that in their personal opinion, you do not have to listen to a song you find offensive but you have no right to alter a song and make it your own. For more than 50 years, there have been television shows and movies that people would demand the entertainment industry get rid of saying this one or that one has had a bad effect on “my child”.

Well, mom and/or dad, change the station or don’t take them to that particular movie. You are the parents, you cannot expect the entertainment industry to bring up your kids. The same should be said about lyrics to any number of songs, no one is forcing you to listen to them nor do you have the right to take it away from others.

I really can’t argue with that…

New Found Dinosaur Species Named After Marvel’s Thanos

Any Comic book  fan knows who Thanos is, he was always quite a big deal within the Marvel lore but unlike other Marvel characters that broke out into the mainstream in the last two decades, Thanos remained in the shadow for a while. All of that off course changed when Infinity War came along and showed what a great character he really is. Now that Josh Brolin’s portrayal of the  the Mad Titan made him a household name all across the world, Thanos receives a huge honor from the scientific community as he now has a dinosaur named after him. Yeah, you read that right  Thanos is now the name of a newly-discovered species of dinosaurs.

The species which is called the Thanos simonattoi —was a carnivorous dinosaur that resided in Brazil during the later part of Cretaceous Period around 145 million years ago. The announcement of the new dinosaur discovery first came in Historical Biology, a journal first published online on November 16, 2018.

“In the present contribution, we describe a new abelisaurid (Thanos simonattoi, gen. et sp. nov.) from the São José do Rio Preto Formation, Bauru Group, Brazil (Upper Cretaceous). Thanos differs from other theropods by having a well-developed keel becoming wider and deeper posteriorly on the ventral surface; two lateral small foramina separated by a relative wide wall on each lateral surface of the centrum, and well-developed and deep prezygapophyseal spinodiapophyseal fossae.”

It is still unknown what the future holds for the character in the the MCU, Brolin is set to reprise his role as Thanos once again in next year’s Avengers 4, but that might not because of the last time according to the actor. If he has his way, Brolin would appear in more Marvel Cinematic Universe movies in the near future.

“You know what, I don’t know what the future brings and who knows, but [I] love the idea of something infinite like this,” Brolin told ScreenRant. “I’ve never been involved in sequels. The fact that we’ve done some of Avengers 2, oh sorry, Avengers 4 but Infinity War 2, I’m going back. I’m going to do more, and we’re going to do some re-shoots and all that. So, I’m excited about all that. I love the Russos. I love working on the Avengers. I didn’t think I was going to and I actually loved it. I didn’t even like it. I loved it.”

Sony Announce 2 New Spiderman Spinoff Movies for 2020 Release

Sony has a complicated history with Spiderman. After the first 3 movies that were directed by Sam Raimi became the biggest hits in the studio’s history the fourth movie was canceled after creative differences between them and the director. They went ahead and rebooted the character under Marc Webb guidance this time planning to spin a whole shared universe around the character, but things didn’t go as planned. The Amazing Spider-Man 2 flopped, the Sinister Six spinoff that was supposed to spin off never took place, and Sony wound up entering into an agreement with Marvel to co-create the Homecoming series and bring Spidey back into the MCU.

Now, A few years later, though, things have turned around dramatically. Even without spiderman Venom became one of the years’  biggest (surprise) hits, grossing almost $780 million and counting. And Don’t forget  Into the Spider-Verse,  Sony’s first animated Spider-Man movie that receives a lot of positive buzz. With things looking up, Variety reports that Sony has added two more Spider-Man spinoff films to their release calendar. The first untitled Marvel project hits theaters July 10, 2020. The second arrive son October 2.

They don’t have confirmed information on what these movies are, but they have educated guesses for both: “While no specifics were provided in the studio’s announcement, the July project is likely “Morbius,” starring Jared Leto. The character is another villain from the Spidey canon, which will be shepherded by “Safe House” director Daniel Espinosa. Morbius first surfaced in the 1971 comic “The Amazing Spider-Man,” as a scientist seeking a cure for a blood disease. Things don’t go as planned, and the doctor winds up with vampiric traits and a thirst for blood.”

The second, they speculate, is Venom 2.

After the Success of the first venom (that earned more than Guardians of the Galaxy and Deadpool), it’s easy to imagine why the studio wants to fast-track the sequel. Although the first one had its shortcomings now that the character is established and there is no need for an origin story the second entry in the series can be everything fans are waiting for.

The Original Avengers Actors Pay Tribute to Stan Lee

The stars and crew of the Marvel Cinematic Universe continue to show love and tribute to Stan Lee following the Marvel Comics creator’s death earlier this week. News of the Marvel legend’s death broke on Monday, Nov. 12, 2018, whe he had been rushed to the hospital early that morning, before passing away. He was 95 years old.

While the original six Avengers actors all made tributes to Lee on Twitter following the news of his passing, they have decided to assemble yet again now honoring Lee’s legacy with a full-page magazine ad.

The full-page ad taken out by the original six Avengers appeared in this week issue of The Hollywood Reporter, along with five other full-page ads honoring Stan Lee. Signed by Scarlett Johansson, Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, Robert Downey Jr., Jeremy Renner and Chris Evans, the tribute to Stan Lee is set against the logo of the Avengers in gray. The ad was revealed by THR’s editor on Twitter.

Lee, of course, was part of the MCU not just in spirit as he had a cameo in every film and TV show in the franchise. In fact, we will probably see Lee on screen several more times: He filmed cameos for Captain Marvel and Avengers 4, and may have filmed others. It will be interesting to see how his absence affects the universe in the future.

Amazing ‘Avengers 4’ Fan-Made Cartoon

As The Avengers has grown to be among the biggest and most successful IPs of a generation, it’s no surprise to see fans want more. As ever with such huge franchises, the minute a title is released the fans want to see even more stuff come out. With much talk of the fourth Avengers movie, though, one fan has created a pretty impressive fan-made video that will get you pretty hyped for the real thing when it finally arrives.

With news of the first footage floating around the Marvel fan forums and the like, there’s a lot of speculation about what it might involve. One fan, though, has gone from talking about it on a forum to making his own fan trailer. It’s really impressive, and really does a good job of making the series look even better.

While rumored trailer descriptions are flying around, Spectrum Cinema, a popular YouTube channel has created a stylish animated trailer that depicts what the rumored script is supposed to be. Despite the fact it’s made more or less entirely by a fan, it’s very impressive indeed. The trailer, named Avengers: Annihilation, has some rather janky animation at times but it is really impressive for a fan-made effort.

It’s pretty macabre, in truth, but it’s very impressive in the way that it plays out. Given it’s pulling on what we can only call strange sources, too, it’s easy to forgive the more creative parts of the writing and animation. We won’t spoil much of the trailer for you, but you do see some finished Avengers, and also a ruined world after the events of Infinity War. It’s all quite grim, really.

Excited yet?

However, the trailer itself is a great piece of work and is sure to whet the appetite for what is to come in the future. We don’t want to sit and critique amateur animation, though, but the voice acting could … use some work. Fair play to them for trying, though: it’s definitely got Marvel fans talking anyway and it will play a big role in getting people hyped up for the big fourth movie to come.

It’s expected that we’ll see the trailer for the fourth edition – the real trailer – come out before the end of the year. As ever, though, this is mostly just speculation. We’ll find out as time goes on what is going to take place, but safe to say it’s going to be quite interesting anyway.

If you want to get in the mood for a big release from Marvel, then why not take a look at the fan trailer?

As outlandish as it might be, it’s a sterling effort and will definitely put you in the mind for another blockbuster involving Tony Stark and co.

Wait, What?! A Shrek & Puss-in-Boots Reboot? Already!?

Apparently, the world has run out of ideas. You see, whilst Shrek was fantastic at the time, it wasn’t anything tremendously new. It followed the same kind of premise and story as so many that came before it. The quality of animation and the way it’s delivered is tremendous, though – that’s not to say anything bad against Shrek. As a series, it’s quality. However, apparently, we’ve got to the stage where even Shrek is getting a reboot.

I used to laugh at elder family members bemoaning childhood classics of their own life being remade for a new generation. I didn’t think I’d see a childhood classic of my own, Shrek, turned into a reboot before my 30s. This is apparently close to happening, though. Apparently, Chris Meledandri, the mastermind behind Despicable Me among others, is being put in charge of the reboot by Universal, according to Variety.

Apparently, ogres aren’t really relevant in 2018 – so, expect some change in gender/orientation or a total swap-around of the roles. Let’s face it, reboots are often absolute drivel, and it’s not likely that this will go any better. The need to change things in a bid to keep it fresh (and to fit in with the more sanitized world it will arrive in) often leads to reboots being technically superior, bt far less pure and enjoyable than the first set.

Even more ridiculously, side-kick Puss in Boots is getting the same reboot. Even stranger is that apparently the idea is to get Eddie Murphy, Michael Myers and Antonio Banderas back together to do it all over again. I can’t really wrap my head around the concept of a reboot that uses all the same old cast but, uh, cool?

A rather fitting concept

As 2018 appears to be a year where people just don’t have a clue what they are doing, the quote from Meladandri that the “challenge for us has been to find something that really does feel like it’s not simply yet another film in a series of sequels,” hardly inspires confidence that this is a well though tout concept.’

This might be an absolute car crash, and it’s best we prepare for that. Without any real idea how to make it better or different from the original, I fear we might get a butchered version of the originals, devoid of the original patter and enjoyment while replaced with more sponsorship and dreadful puns.

Reboots. Eugh.

Netflix Genres Boring You? Open Them Up Today

Netflix is, easily, one of the most popular online platforms used today. Millions of users curl up in front of their TV to watch their on-demand shows, when they want. While some of us complain that Netflix has too much choice, some people find it hard to choose. For example, their genre selections are, at best, poor. You can find it hard to really dig into what you wish to watch, which soon becomes an exercise in frustration.

To solve that problem, we recommend that you take a look at this easy to use Netflix genre cracker. This opens up thousands of new genres to look through when searching for movies. If you are sick of the same old genres giving you eyebrow raising returns, you can use this simple solution to open up the floor to some far more interesting movie choices.

Making the most of Netflix

To start off with, thanks to What’s On Netflix for coming across this awesome little trick. You will need to use a variety of specific codes to open up Netflix much more, giving you much more control over what you watch.

For example, if you wanted to find something very particular, you can. Mad genres appear, like “Bellydancing” and even “Campy Chinese Movies” – they have a little hidden sub-category for any kind of movie that you can think of. To make this work, all you need to do is type in the following URL:

https://www.netflix.com/browse/genre/XXXX

All you need to do is swap out XXXX for the genre you wish to browse through, and voila. You can find all of the codes that you need online, making it easy to tap into over 70,000 hidden sub-genres. It’s very interesting, and makes it easy for you to make your Netflix experience a touch more specific.

Many of us spend hours just flicking through Netflix hoping to find something decent. With this, you make more or less certain that you can find something worth watching. However, opening up the floor so much will mean potentially making it even harder to choose. If you struggle to make a choice with the options already on Netflix, make sure you have a rough idea of the genre that you wish to watch.

Decision making falls through the floor when we have too many options, so try and limit in your mind the kind of movie youwish to watch. Then, start your browser search. If you go on with so many new options to pick from, you will likely just make what is already a hard choice even harder than it needs to be!

Will ‘Blade’ Be Back? Snipes Says So

As one of the most iconic actors of the 1990s and early 2000s, Wesley Snipes is a big name in the entertainment history of millions. From playing Marvel legend Blade to running around as the maniacal Simon Phoenix in Demolition Man, Snipes got around to quite incredible levels back in the day.

While he isn’t quite the mega star that he once was, Snipes is back in the big picture with the news that two new Blade projects are currently being worked upon. For those who loves these classic movies, you’ll be delighted to hear that Blade is on his way back – and seemingly ina big way.

Blade? Who’s That?

While I might die from shock that someone has not heard of Blade, he’s the exceptional vampire hunter who spends all his time wiping out these monsters. His mother, you see, was attacked by a vampire as she was giving birth to him, so, you know, natural hatred.

As you may have guessed, Blade is eventually turned into a vampire himself – though he uses a special serum to stop himself becoming a bloodsucker fully. Now, he hunts his new kin from the shadows, and the various media formats follow his story as he avenges his mother and keeps the public free from the vampires’ dominance.

What’s next for Blade then?

A hell of a lot, if you listen to Snipes talk about it, where he said: “There are a lot of conversations going around right now, and we’re very blessed to have the enthusiasm and interest in something from that world again.

“We’ve created two projects that fit perfectly into this world, and when people see them, I think they’re only going to have a problem with deciding which one they love most,”

However, is a world where Marvel moves have come so chromatic and colorful – and full of character development that can often be one-track due to the size of the cast – the right place to house someone as dark and as serious as Blade?

Fear not, as the hunter himself says that Marvel “gets it…the next time you see something in [the Blade universe], mark my words: what we did before is child’s play compared to what we can do now.”

That sounds pretty damn interesting. The original Blade movies rank up there as some of the best around: the idea that they could be coming back and better than ever before is just so exciting. Who knows? It might be a good chance for Marvel to try out something a bit more ambitious when it comes to a more serious, adult tone to their movies.

If they ever try and make up for the abomination that is the new Venom movie, then this would serve as a good way to create a more visceral kind of superhero movie. Either way, it won’t be too long – hopefully – until we see Wesley Snipes taking people to the cleaners again, blade in hand.

Soon On Netflix: “Choose Your Ending”

Isn’t this exciting? Netflix users may soon have more customizable features on their subscription. We hear that you may be able to determine how your favorite shows end. This new feature is expected to be rolled out with new seasons of shows such as Black Mirror, and other interesting presentations. By allowing subscribers to choose their preferred adventure storyline, users have an opportunity to experience an ending that makes them happy.

Netflix has been around for many years. The service started as a direct mail entertainment platform where you could rent DVDs. Later, the platform was enhanced to become a streaming service which featured the popular TV shows and recent movies. Now, Netflix is leading others in a new direction. In recent years, the company has been focused on developing original content for its subscribers.

The availability of new TV shows exclusive to Netflix gives subscribers a premium service. For a monthly fee, you can have unlimited access to complete seasons of shows. This feature is mostly celebrated by subscribers who enjoy binge-watching their favorite TV shows. The idea to become an original content creator for TV and entertainment has led to remarkable success. The polls indicate that many subscribers are happy with the unlimited access they have to new TV shows and movies that seem different from others productions.

Now, we hear about a more interactive experience on Netflix. Everyone is excited about this news. The first test for this new feature was done with the children’s show- Puss in Book. Children could select their preferred storyline.

Netflix has decided to give this new feature a trial with Black Mirror, a sci-fi based TV series that has captivated the attention of a large audience. On one episode of Black Mirror, subscribers will be able to choose how the story ends.

So many companies have been exploring the idea of starting interactive TV shows. It gets even more interesting when you think about these features used for the movies. While we know there may be so many secret projects by other companies. Netflix is the first company to announce its decision to introduce this feature in a TV show for adults. There may, however, be some challenges.

It is expected that such elaborate TV shows will require more work during production. This means more financial investment and labour costs. There may be a limitation to the available choices the viewers can select for particular TV shows. Overall, the introduction of this new feature is going to require more funding for movies and TV shows. From this perspective, we are hopeful that the new feature will be successful to make more profits that can cover additional costs.

If Netflix gets it right, there will surely be an increase in the number of its subscribers. It will also mark the transition of the video streaming business to a new and better level. The goal of Netflix is to keep you entertained. It has become crucial to achieve this goal because of the rise in competition in this area. We have seen the aggressive campaigns done by other similar companies such as Hulu, and YouTube.

Amy Winehouse (Hologram) Back On Tour

It’s been seven years since she was found dead but we will soon be able to hear and see her again on stage. Kind of creepy in my opinion.
A company called Base Hologram has announced a partnership with Winehouse’s estate to go on tour in order “to celebrate the singer’s legacy.” Many have voiced their concerns about exploiting her name and music and think she should be left alone.

Winehouse died of alcohol poisoning in 2011 when she was only 27. This spiked other mythical rumors about the famous “27 death club” in which many famous artists died at that age. The company Base says that it’s “the leading live entertainment content creator leveraging holographic film technology to produce live entertainment tours and attractions worldwide.”

A statement the company issued said that “Utilizing new state-of-the-art proprietary technology, the production will launch towards the end of 2019. Featuring digitally remastered arrangements of her classics, the hologram will be backed by a live band, singers and theatrical stagecraft.”

Her father said that it’s a dream come true for the family; “To see her perform again is something special that really can’t be put into words. Our daughter’s music touched the lives of millions of people and it means everything that her legacy will continue in this innovative and groundbreaking way.”

The tour was announced at the Amy Winehouse Foundation’s annual gala in London. The foundation wants to prevent the effects of drug and alcohol misuse among young people. They plan on gaining more help and recognition via the world tour.

It’s not the first time a celeb was “revived” through a hologram. Michael Jackson and Tupac have performed on stage after their untimely deaths.

Netflix Announce ‘Avatar: The Last Airbender’ Live-Action Series

A live-action series based on Nickelodeon’s beloved cartoon Avatar: The Last Airbender is in development at Netflix, the streaming service announced.

After the favorite anime-inspired series hit theaters in a live-action flop, it seems Netflix will try to work its magic on the epic series. According to the company’s See What’s Next account on Twitter, the streaming service is working on a “reimagined” take on Aang’s story.

Co-creators Michael Dante DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko will return to oversee the live-action series. The pair said in a statement:

“We’re thrilled for the opportunity to helm this live-action adaptation of Avatar: The Last Airbender,” the pair said in a press release. “We can’t wait to realize Aang’s world as cinematically as we always imagined it to be, and with a culturally appropriate, non-whitewashed cast. It’s a once-in-a-lifetime chance to build upon everyone’s great work on the original animated series and go even deeper into the characters, story, action, and world-building.”

While production won’t begin until 2019, for now, we’ve got some concept art that depicts the protagonist with Appa, the six-legged flying bison who Aang and his friends ride as they travel around the world on their quest.

Bruno Mars Set to Play Prince

As one of the most iconic musicians of all-time, the passing of Prince naturally hit the creative world hard. Since his death, we’ve seen multiple nods and tributes to one of music’ most beloved participants. However, one of the most exciting creations to do with Prince – a biopic – might have secured a fantastic stand-in for the legend: Bruno Mars.

Mars, 32, is being linked with taking on the role of Prince in a biopic being put together by Netflix. This interesting new program would take a full look at the life of Prince, and try to do the legend some justice. Mars himself sang Purple Rain at the US Grammy Awards, and it went down like a house on fire. According to sources at Netflix, then, it’s likely that he’ll take part in the role – despite it likely being among the most challenging roles he’s ever taken on.

If you have watched Mars perform for even a few moments, you’ll see the immediate influence Prince had on his style. A passionate lover of acting, despite having little to no experience, it would be a fine opportunity for him to work his way into a new kind of showbiz at the same time as do his idol some justice.

While it would be his acting debut, the hope is that he will accept. Seen as a great stand-in with his natural charisma and talent, Mars would offer a fine portrayal of Prince.

Prince died aged 57 from what has been described as an ‘accidental overdose’ in 2016. Found dead in his Paisley Park home on April 21st, the two years that have come since have been used to try find the perfect way to portray what was such an energizing life.

Too much too soon?

Naturally, the role would be a big one to try and fill for Mars. With a distinct lack of acting experience, it would be a major role to try and take on so early in his acting career. However, as someone who carries that same soulful charm as Prince, and being a wonderfully talented musician himself, it would make up for any lack of acting expertise.

While some would perhaps prefer an actor to play Prince in a biopic, the musical skills and natural flair of Mars would likely make him the ideal candidate. Would you be happy with Bruno Mars as the person to play Prince? Or would you rather an actor with more experience in playing a role in a biopic?
