Although 2018 was a lucky year for love with some Hollywood couples, for many it was the year they said goodbye to their relationships, new and old. Take a look as we count down all the celeb breakups so far of this year. Just take a look at these two once love birds, Cardi B and Offset.
Cardi B took to Instagram on December 4th to say that she and Offset have split. This is what she said:
“So everybody been bugging me and everything. And you know, I been trying to work things out with my baby father for a hot minute now. We’re really good friends and you know we’re really good business partners… He’s always somebody that I run to, to talk to and we got a lot of love for each other but things just haven’t been working out between us for a long time,” Cardi says in the video. “It’s nobodies fault it’s just like I guess we grew out of love. But, we’re not together any more. It might take time to get a divorce. I’m always going to have a lot of love for him because he is my daughter’s father.”
The couple has a child together named Kulture Kiari Cephus. Rapper Offset later wrote about Cardi’s post, “Y’all won,” confirming her post. He proposed to Cardi B in October 2017.
Robert De Niro & Grace Hightower
The two decide to call it quits after 20 years of marriage. A close source to the couple said to People Magazine: “Sometimes things don’t work out the way you hope or want them to.”
They go married back in 1997 and have two kids, Elliott (20) and Helen Grace (6).
If you remember, this isn’t the first time they split. Back in 1999 De Niro filed for divorce, but they worked it out and even renewed their vows in 2004.
The last time they were seen together was at the Tony Awards in June 2018. De Niro has two kids from his previous wife Diahnne Abbott (1976 to 1988), Drena (47) and Raphael (42), and another two with his 1995 girlfriend Touki Smith, twins Aaron and Julian.
Jillian Michaels & Heidi Rhoades
Fitness trainer Jillian Michaels and Heidi Rose have called of their engagement and split up after 9 years of being together however they remain close and are committed to co-parenting as a team.
Jillian let the public in when she announced on her Instagram: “Heidi and I have been split for a while now.
We’ve found we’re better friends and parents living apart than staying together,” Jillian wrote on Instagram. “Life and people change but our love for one another and commitment to raising our two kids as an inseparable team remains. Thanks for always loving and supporting us, the feeling is mutual!”
