Super-Extreme Fans Who Went Way Too Far!

Famous people are great. Whether it be rock stars, pop princesses, or band boys, they provide the public with entertainment, joy, and endless gossip. However, this post is not dedicated those stars who get enough attention as it is. This post is for the unsung heroes, the ones who at the end of the idea, are the petrol that fuel these celebrities’ explosion to fame and fortune - the fans.

Fans come in all shapes and sizes, routing for their chosen star and showing their support in a wild variety of ways. From attending concerts, movies, buying albums and of course, tattooing their names on various body parts. This is dedicated to the top fifteen craziest (or most admirable…depends how you look at it) antics done by fans in honor of their heroes.

Taylor Swift

The Deed: Swimming to her front door

I would say most people are low key obsessed with Taylor Swift, with her relatable lyrics and charming Southern attitude. However, in 2013 a Swift fan took his obsession a bit far.

One 22-year- old man swam miles and miles until he reached Swift’s Rhode Island Beach home in an attempt to enter her property and meet his idol. As endearing as this dedication seems, he was later arrested and detained by police for trespassing. Next time, we suggest using the phone, or text message prior to popping in uninvited!

Ashley Tisdale

The Deed: 18,888 messages and a surprise visit

Everyone had their time when they were obsessed with the villain of the hit sensation High School Musical. Ashley Tisdale (AKA Sharpay) played the ultimate villain, but there was something about her Barbie-like bitchiness which attracted people near and far.

As we mature we are told to follow our dreams and desires in addition to the fact that love conquers all and never give up. So an obsessed fan did just that, sending Tisdale a total of 18,888 twitter messages before rocking up, uninvited, to where she lived and knocking on her door. In the movies it would be considered romantic and they would have waltzed to the sunset. Tisdale on the other hand was not surprisingly, more freaked out than honoured by the gesture. Still: this dude is one of the most loyal fans around.

Superman

The Deed: Complete Facial Reconstruction

Herbert Chavez from the Philippines, was so obsessed and inspired by the character of superman, he was fixed on becoming as close in looks to his hero as possible.

Since Spiderman wears no mask and his chiseled godly features are all natural, Chavez was clearly left with no option but to alter his face through surgery after surgery to reach the look he so desired. After months of plastic surgeries (and thousands of dollars) Chavez finally reached his goal and was satisfied that he was a Pilipino Superman replica. We just hope Chavez understands that Superman is from Krypton and that while he can mimic his looks, he cannot mimic his abilities…

Drake

The Deed: Branding on the Forehead

Tattoos are understandable as a show of dedication to your hero. Adoring Drake is understandable too, but an unnamed obsessed fan of Drake took it to whole new level. when she got the name of her favorite rapper tattoo on her forehead of all places. To top it off, she shaved off her eyebrows to make the name stand out and be more pronounced. This could have stopped here, but it didn't.

Drake got outraged at the tattoo artist, sent his security guard to pay the artist a visit to his studio and ranted against the guy on the radio. The tattoo artist stands firm that he tried to convince the fan to rethink the tattoo (even if only the font, if not the subject and location), but she was persistent. One thing is for certain, she's not the only one sporting a #Draketattoo.

Justin Beiber

The Deed: Defending Beiber's Sexual Orientation

Since the sweet-faced teen rose to fame thanks to a series of very impressive YouTube videos infecting a generation of girls and women from all over the world with by Bieber fever. Bieber has had his ups and downs, run-ins with the law, and more than a handful of controversies regarding the lifestyle he lives, yet most of his fans remain Beliebers.

So loyal in-fact, that they will risk many things- including school suspension- for merely defending Biebs reputation. Among those Beliebers, one fan seriously meant business back in 2013 when she cut off a classmate’s hair because she called Bieber ‘Gay’. While her defense skills are questionable, it is clear no one messes with the Bieber and his loyal following, or they risk facing the wrath of the intimidating Bieber squad.

Zakk Wylde

The Deed: Sacrifice to a rock god

Rock legends are idolized, adored and sometimes elevated to God-like status, and like everything in Rock n' Roll, it can get a little out of hand. in 2011 one of Ozzy Osbourne's guitarist and heavy metal band “Black Label Society” founder Zakk Wylde had a fan who took the whole ‘God’ thing a bit too far…

Wylde claimed his 20-year-old neighbor left an actual sacrifice outside his house after months of stalking and trying to contact Wylde. What exactly such sacrifice consisted of is unclear, but reports claim it included several bizarre and creepy objects such as a guitar covered in sharpie marker and a box cutter. Wylde obtained a restraining order and the fan was later diagnosed with bipolar disorder.

Nakhat Khan, a.k.a Kushboo

The Deed: Erecting a Shrine

Clearly, the God complex is something pretty common when it comes to how the fans view their celebrity idols. This can be seen once again in the case of Indian icon, actress and producer Nakhat Khan who is known to her fans as Kushboo.

The Bollywood star enjoys almost unprecedented fame and adoration. In fact her fans adore her so much in oa certain village - they quite literally, worship her. The people of the great village of Tiruchi built a temple in her honor. These Kushboo admirers (Kushbooians?) take their Kushboo dedication and admiration to spiritual levels elevating the star’s status to that of the god.

Jessie J

The Deed: Self Mutilation

British popstar Jessie J stands out for her authentic and unique voice, her striking looks and her outspoken personality. Traits that have gained her a following of dedicated fans who will do pretty much anything for their idol. This was very much proven back in 2011 when the singer fell of stage during a rehearsal for a performance and was “almost put in a wheelchair”.

Among the expected gestures of support and encouragement was a fan of a particular strain of crazy. Said fan broke her own leg in an attempt to both empathize and emulate the star. She then proceeded with this logic to bombard J with communication attempts. Ultimately security tightened in fear the fan's obsession would only escalate. But we have to admit, breaking your own leg to bond with your hero … definitely takes guts (and crazy).

One Direction

The Deed: Ink Ink Baby

“Directioners”, are all those One Direction fans who are committed to gorgeous and talented boyband. Jayne Bailey, though not of the typical Directioner age group, certainly counts among their most dedicated enthusiasts.

The 47-year-old mother of one has been obsessed with the band since day one covering her body with a total of 20 tattoos dedicated to the band, including replicas of the star’s tattoos, each member’s date of birth, and their signatures spending an estimated $350 on the ink. While spending so much time under the needle certainly is a testimony of dedication, there are better directions to worship the truly adorable boyband.

One Direction

The Deed: Stealing

Directioners dedication to this British Boyband have taken fandom to new levels. In a series of tweets in 2013, One Direction member Liam Payne expressed how he woke up to a fan trying to break into to his hotel room and when that failed, grabbed a pair of his boxers and left. The fan reportedly went on to wear the boxers for the rest of the day, making the most of the stolen prized possessions. In a Tweet shortly after Payne wrote “’Hmmm somebody stole my boxers I’m so embarrassed.”

Luckily Payne did not take it to seriously, and after a quick recovery responded to the whole incident humorously stating on twitter “#breakIntoSomeonesHouseAndStealThereUnderwearDay right I'm off to Scarlett Johansson’s house.” Liam darling, you are not the one to be embarrassed here.

Justin Beiber

The Deed: Collecting Memoriabilia

Memorabilia has always been something fans treasured. Whether it be an autograph, a concert ticket or a piece of clothing. But just how far are people willing to go in order to possess reminders of their idols? Turns out for Bieber, pretty far.

In 2010, 16-year-old Emma Hall-Phillips made a smart business move when she got hold of a bottle from which Bieber had drank and decided to put it up for auction on TradeMe. However, she is not the superfan this is dedicated to. Rather the very committed buyer who spent a total of $624 to get their hands on a bottle once held by the Biebs. Just shows how far Belieber fanatics will go to get their hands on something Justin’s hands (and lips?) touched.

Kanye West

The Deed: Christening

We know Kanye West thinks the world about himself, but apparently, he is not the only one (Kim excluded). Yet another fan took her obsession with the rapper and mogul to the extreme when she went so far as to legally change her name from Lindaresa, to Kanyeresa West.

Kanyeresa  claims she will continue working on getting West’s attention, stating "Until he say, 'You're crazy,' or until he gets married, I'm gonna keep on going." Well, Kanye Is already married to Kimmy K, but at least she didn't stalk him to the extent of a restraining warrant nor is Kim Kardashian after her. Still, what can I say…. Girl’s got stamina.

Taylor Swift

The Deed: Artsy Love to the Max

Here we go again with Taylor and her legions of adoring fans. Only this time it isn’t creepy, but actually cool! So cool in fact, that Taylor herself showed appreciation for the lengths fans will go to show their love for their stars.

In an Instagram posted by Swift in 2015, she posted a picture of a giant corn farm upon which Taylor’s face was mowed . Teresa Greenwood, the owner of the farm, claimed that swift is one of those stars who is both a fun and positive image for the young people of today. I must say, that is one dramatic and pretty interesting way to express support.

Keith Urban

The Deed: Legging It Up

Keith Urban is both a successful and charming country star, so naturally he has gained quite the loyal fanbase throughout his years as a performing artist.Keith revealed a bizarre incident which occurred in the middle of a concert.

When a fan shouted, ‘Can you sign my leg?’ Keith, told her to bring her leg to the stage. He was quite surprised when after a thud he saw a prosthetic leg land on the stage next to him. Mr. Cool picked it up and signed it, but faced with this rather unique set of circumstances he confessed his thoughts were “What’s the correct prosthetic leg returning etiquette?” We take our hat’s off to this superfan who did not let anything stop her from getting a ‘leg up’ on gaining some of Keith’s love.

Jared Leto

The Deed: Hearing Aid
