Everyone knows that "industry stars" never use their real names! Eva is no exception, born Nicole Clyne in Huntington Beach, California.
Way back in 1985, future Eva actually spent her first two years in Madrid. And that was just the beginning of her international experience! At age 8, her father was hired by the Swiss military to build planes. For two years, she experienced Switzerland before returning to the OC for high school. Who was she, by then?
You've Got a Friend in Me
Growing up can be a tough stage for many, especially in high school. But not Eva! She was a social butterfly, right from the start.
According to Eva: "I was the kid that was friends with everyone. I had grown up with the kids at my school. I had known them since kindergarten. I didn't belong to a specific clique. I hung out with the goths, the preppy, the Hispanics, the skater kids — everyone." But despite the social diversity in her life, Eva was interested in a different scene altogether. Guess what kind!
Total Screen Virgin
With a unique look, Eva came from a European, Cuban, and Chinese background. And she knew she was a knockout!
Perhaps she could become a famous face? Answering a newspaper ad just months after turning 18, Eva got into movies right away. Was this specifically a longtime interest of hers? According to Eva, not really. She says she never even watched these clips before getting into the business! So why did she do it?
Too Close For Comfort
Eva has explained that her dad was a bit too involved in her intimate development. She tried to have normal conversations with her friends about their curiosities, but it was hard to find privacy.
She explained: "My dad would overhear the conversation, and I’d be like, 'Yes, dad, I went there.'" Small house?Awkward, regardless! Despite the creepy factor, Eva wasn't deterred from her future career. How would her on-screen persona develop, early on?
Chameleon Strategy
As a performer, Eva Angelina was known for wearing eyeglasses during her videos. While viewers might think this was a gimmick, they really were prescription!
Eva had been wearing frames since middle school. Later on, it seems she developed a love of accessories! Eva wore uniforms of all sorts during her films: She played a cop, a nurse, a sergeant, and a flight attendant over the years. Always quirky, always a top choice by audiences. In what must have been a big surprise for customers, she worked at the Macaroni Grill for extra cash! And in 2005, she tried to join the Navy. Sadly, an associate's degree was required! Love That Didn't Last
As it turns out, love was in the cards for Eva. In an industry famed for lonely personal lives, Miss Angelina married fellow performer Danny Mountain in 2007.
British and a former carpenter, Danny had also gotten into the industry at a very young age. The two actually performed together in a film before dating! Eva gave birth to a daughter named Sylvi, but the couple divorced a year later. Despite all the instability, Eva had some time to reflect on how to parent as a single mom in the future. What were her conclusions?
Those Crazy Kids
Eva has been interviewed about the issue of youngsters in society. She has clearly thought a lot about it!
Being a mom herself hasn't changed her open attitude: "The second they start ovulating I’m putting an IUD in them...When I was 13, I was on the pill and couldn’t be trusted to take it every day...It’s up to us to make sure they don’t ruin their lives. A 13-year-old is a kid having a kid." Sounds progressive, but what do her kids think about her longtime career?
Under Wraps For Now
At the moment, Eva is an 11-year industry veteran living in Orange County with a few kids under her wing. She focuses having a steady job and raising the little ones, most of the time.
But do they know what she used to do, and perhaps still dabbles in? According to Eva: "Not yet. They’re still too young." It seems that they may not see her continue in the business when they are more conscious of the world. What kind of new career would she pursue instead?
Real Estate Gets Real
Eva had a great idea during the California housing crunch. She decided to get a realtor license, like her mother! Was that an easy move?
According to Eva: “We’re so used to instant gratification. We shoot our scene and leave with a check. During my eleven-year career, I had control, acceptance from my peers, and decided how much money I wanted to make. [Real estate is] a lot more secretive, and I’m used to being out in the open." Did she find any serious clients, given her notoriety?
Don't Stalk Me Bro
So far, Eva says she has actually found a few clients via social media. But when she shows open houses, she has to be careful that it's a buyer and not a fan trying to meet her on the job!
According to the U.S. Department of Labor, 48 realtors died in 2017 on the job! Too many stalkers out there, and Eva cannot be immune. Real admirers can only wish her well! What's her strategy to avoid danger as a recognizable woman in the field, so far?
Stand By Me
In a job with such routine perils, a girl's got to have her team to keep her out of trouble. And Eva Angelina sure does!
Eva explains: "I’ve already been fooled twice. Luckily, I have a really good company where my team leader in the room makes sure I’m safe. I allow him to interrogate the guys to [figure out] what they’re all about—and it helps because this guy is a bulldog." But wait: Is real estate the only moneymaker for Eva, as a single mom in an expensive county?
Tiny Dancer
Some may think Eva is done with all of this for good. As it turns out, she is still involved in the biz part-time. How so?
She explains: "I still feature dance, but only one weekend out of the month. It could be an entire year before I get income from real estate, so this is a way to keep my head above the water. As much as I wish I were a millionaire like everybody thought I was, that’s definitely not reality." Sounds busy, Eva. But is that really the end of the story here, career-wise?
This Girl is on Fire
Wait a minute, is 5-foot-3 Eva actually fighting fires somewhere at the moment? Recently, Eva revealed that she started academy training!
On social media, she shared: "I am proud to present to you Fire Academy graduated Class No. 57 and a photo of my squad. Proud not only to have been chosen to lead you but to also call you my teammates and now my friends for life. Thank you! I wouldn’t have wanted to have gone through this process with any other group of guys than with you all." Does Eva do this full time now?
Flaming Out
No stranger to hanging out with big, buff men, Eva really wanted to work at a local fire station. Unfortunately, she was not accepted after training in the City of St Petersburg. Sad times!
A spokesman for the city explained: "She's still a state-certified firefighter and is eligible to get hired by any other department or organization in the state of Florida...Once you get the training and certification it's good for three years, but usually it takes up to a year to find a job.'' Eva is eligible for other interviews, but will she stick with it?
L.A. Take Two
Eva tried out other public services in LA. She completed the LAFD Candidate Advancement Program in Los Angeles. The fire department there seems to want help, theoretically!
Eva took them up on their offer. She posted a photo of her training completion certificate for the Community Emergency Response Team. But honestly, many may wonder how this tiny beauty expects to drag people out of burning buildings and save lives. Is she still as petite as some remember?
Ready And Ripped AF
Surprise! Eva Angelina is now a legit Crossfit athlete. Not a casual customer of a gym, but an impressive Instagram inspiration for fitness enthusiasts across the nation.
Eva explained her routine to fans: "I may not always post about my #Crossfit on here but this photo I took tonight has shown me what eating #paleo and doubling up on Crossfit classes 3-4 days a week is doing to my body. My belly is getting defined which we all know." Very impressive, Eva! What's next on the bucket list, lovely lady?
