Everything We Know About the Upcoming iPhone 9

After a long period of waiting and development, the iPhone 9 is finally on its way. As one of the most exciting smartphone releases in some time, it’s going to be very interesting to see what the next iPhone can bring to the table.

While there’s not a huge amount of information available on the iPhone 9 at this moment in time, we’re sure that there will be shortly. Given that you mostly just need to look at what the big trends are in the mobile industry to spot what the next big change on an Apple device might be, we’ll take a few guesses at what might be coming.

Of course, first off – we don’t even know the name of the expected phone. Brand marketers might think the iPhone 9 sounds less modern than the iPhone X – 10 – so it’ll be interesting to see if they play on that gimmick with the name. We could see them dispense with the use of a number at all, as they did with the iPad at one stage.

Key Features

One of the most interesting changes that we’ve heard about is the new ‘Super Retina Display’ system being included. This is going to be a very interesting phone, with a near-edge-to-edge OLED screen being likely. While some experts claim they may go for a mix of LCD and OLED screens, it’s hard to say for sure.

It’ll obviously use the Face ID system, too, which has become a bit of a must-have for Apple goods. It’s likely to make an appearance here after being given rave reviews on the iPhone X. we might also see a change in the hardware being used, as the Apple A12 chip might be included to help improve overall performance.

It will also help to manage out the battery, ensuring that you might have fewer issues than other Apple handsets have had in recent times. Alongside a nice boost to its processing power and ability to handle more modern software demands, it’ll likely be a touch sturdier than the previous solution.

We’ll also likely get a USB-C fast charger with it, making sure that you can get a high-quality charge from a device that would usually cost you a pretty penny to pick up. For example, an 18W USB-C charger could cost you anything from $50+.

It might even come with a pair of Apple AirPods: the top quality Apple earphones that everyone is using these days. However, no confirmation on most of this is available yet: like most Apple devices, they are keeping the major news for the iPhone 9 under lock and key.

Experts think it will be released sometime in September. The majority of Apple devices since the iPhone 5 were announced in September, and available for shipping later that month.

If you are interested in trying out the latest and greatest from Apple, then you should not have to wait too much longer for the iPhone 9 to hit the market.

Apple Soon to Be Worth $1 Trillion

There have been so many speculations about Apple’s real worth, and soon we will not need to make any more guesses because Apple will soon be declared the first Company to be valued at $1 trillion. Well, if things continue to go as planned.

According to the reports, the current value of Apple is $940 billion. It is only a matter of months before a huge achievement will be recorded by the company. This is great news for investors; we expect a rush for Apple’s shares while efforts will be made to manage the stock price from rising too high.

The future of Apple was quite uncertain after the passing of Steve Jobs in 2011, but since Tim Cook took over the reins of the company, there has been an appreciation in the company’s value by an estimated $300bn.

So while Apple leads the pack at the moment, let’s have a look at some other companies that have been recorded immense increment in their value. From tech giants to oils businesses, the list goes across companies that have built a solid reputation in their markets. There is Aramco to watch; the Saudi Oil Business is projected to be valued at $2 trillion after its public offer next year. We are also looking at Amazon, Google, Facebook, etc. these companies are expected to declare high figure in the coming year.

Apparently, a bulk of this weight lies in the tech industry. After suffering a hit in 2002, the stocks of tech companies have regained a massive momentum in the global markets. The characteristic trend among these tech companies is steady growth, innovation, and a continuing struggle to stay ahead of the competition. From this perspective, we can expect more profits to be made while these companies deploy their best marketing plans to attract more customers.

Apparently, the marketing dynamics have been in favor of the tech companies. Technology is being widely accepted, and there is a demand for more features which customers are willing to pay for in new products.

Apple has indicated its interests in continuing along the line of providing more software services in addition to the sales of smartphones. Is this a response to the fall in sales figures for smartphones? However, it will be a good strategy if the users are not willing to buy new phones, but they want more software for their old smartphones.

Confirming this new trend, Tim Cook in his statement said that the revenue generated from the App store and other services such as Apple music, iCloud service, and the new Apple Pay service have been exceptional. While it is an indication that the Apple customers remain loyal and committed, the revenue generated indicates the main interests of the customers.

There is a lot Apple can do for its huge user base. The addition of more value can increase the global patronage of all its services. Focusing on developing and improving other highly demanded services will also have a positive impact on iPhone sales.

We anticipate a lot of new additions in the iOS 12; if our speculations are right, the new operating system will introduce App upgrades and new features that will impress the customers.

We are so excited about the future, the global tech industry looks set for a ‘showdown,’ while Apple may be the first tech company to achieve the $1 trillion valuation, we are hearing about great things happening in the Chinese tech industry regarding smartphones, software, Apps and other tech-based services similar to what Apple is offering. Will brand loyalties be tested? In a few months, we will know exactly what the options provide.

Digital Sales Down. Vinyl is Back, Baby!

About a half-decade ago, I remember having a chat with my Dad, to do with the Sony PlayStation 4. He was really impressed that, instead of having a fleet of discs lying around the place for my games, I would just download them all from the online store and keep them digitally, available on-demand.

With the likes of Spotify so prominent at the time, too, he seemed genuinely glad that the wasteful, easy to damage disc era was coming to an end.

Well, sorry dad, but I have to say that there’s a massive upswing in people heading back in time. With many people buying physical copies of their music in abundance once again, 2017 seen a big fall in digital downloads alongside a massive upsurge in physical purchases again. I can see my dad tutting and shaking his head in disbelief right now!

According to the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA), there’s been a massive surge in people deciding to go classic once again. This was the first time since 2011 that physical sales were outlasting the digital industry, with CDs and vinyl’s especially moving more than $200m extra in sales across the year.

For people like myself who are too used to the digital side of things, this just makes no sense to me. While I get the collector thing – I recently bought old-school PlayStation 1 cases for my PS4 games that I do own on disc- I cannot grasp why you would immediately choose the physical copy over the digital edition.

While CDs are down by 6% in sales, vinyl went up an impressive 10%. While streaming obviously plays a big role in people no longer buying digital albums, instead getting them on subscription services, it’s a pretty significant change for the industry. Disney Takes It Up A Notch With Sound Quality

With The Avengers: Infinity War just released worldwide it’s interesting to see just how much hype there is around the movie. As one of the biggest cinematic releases in some time, and one of the largest in terms of costs to be produced and expected income, there’s tangible excitement for what it’s going to bring to the industry. One of the most exciting parts of the release, though, is what it means for Walt Disney Studios’ long-term partnership with Dolby Cinema.

Dolby Cinema is a premium-quality feature that has become very popular. It provides viewers with Dolby Vision HDR images as well as Dolby Atmos immersive sound; a huge step-up from the standard. The new deal that has been signed will cover Infinity War in splendid detail and audio quality. However, it’ll also be covering the likes of Ant-Man and the Wasp, The Incredibles 2 and Solo: A Star Wars Story to name but a few.

This is hugely exciting for those who like to take in their audio and viewing experience at a new level. According to Solo director, Ron Howard, this is a very impressive step forward in the overall experience, saying: “Having worked with Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos in the past, I’m very excited to use these technologies to immerse and envelop audiences into the Star Wars galaxy with Solo: A Star Wars Story,

“These tools really allow filmmakers to help put audiences in the story like never before.”

That isn’t all that Dolby is going to be taking on, though. We can expect the likes of Toy Story 4, Frozen 2 and Avengers 4 to come with this immense audio experience. If you are looking for an easy way to engage and enjoy the audio experience at the cinema, then this is going to be one of the best ways to do just that.

For those eager to see the latest MCU masterpiece in this kind of detail, the words of one of the stars of the show should get you even more excited.

According to Benedict Cumberbatch, who plays Doctor Strange in the new Infinity War movie, this is a major boon, saying earlier in the year that: “What I thought is, this just doesn’t stop. Once it starts, it does. Not. Stop. It’s just this horrible, brilliant, terrifying, at times funny, at times very moving, relentless action.”

Are you excited to see Infinity War and other movies in this kind of detail?
