Dos & Don’ts When Buying A Valentines Present Online

Online shopping for Valentines usually ends up with me buying for myself… the problem is that I don’t always get what I paid for. So before shopping online, you should go over these online shopping mishaps

Bejeweled Mess

“Fool’s gold” is a term that would definitely apply in this young lady’s case. What seemed to be a regal tease ended up being a patched-together fail. Even Cinderella’s homemade gown was more appealing than this one!

The fit and cut of the dress are not appealing at all. Most of the time, you can get away with a few alterations to make a dress better, but in this case, it’s better off being saved for Halloween.

Trash The Dress

Talk about bodycon dresses – I’m not sure this man was meaning to follow the Kardashian’s trend. Or maybe this gentleman will take the opportunity to show off his time in the gym, trimming, toning, and building his muscles.

However, I think he meant to do so with a tank top rather than a skintight dress.

On the bright side, he could totally rock the look and flaunt what he’s got! Maybe another candidate for Halloween?

Hilarious Photos Taken At The Gym

Gyms, also known as health clubs, fitness clubs, fitness centers, or health spas are places where patrons go to exercise and build muscle and/or lose fat. Some enter to get bigger, others to get smaller. Nowadays it’s also the place people go to hashtag, Instagram, and check-in on social media.

In our age of vanity, the happenings at a gym, it seems, are well documented based on these photos.

How Cathletic!

What’s new pussycat? As much as we respect the comfort and versatility of wrestling singlets, the graphic here couldn’t look less harmless. What is the message the wearer wishes to give others? Apparently, the comfort of wearing spandex/lycra, or nylon wasn’t enough, so this gentleman wanted something which reminded them of something even more fluffy.

Save Our Soles

This is either one brave woman who won’t let her lack of suitable footwear get in the way of her exercise regime or someone who doesn’t know how to dress for the occasion. Lifting weights while wearing stilettos requires quite the talent. Apart from balance, it also gives the weightlifter an added lift. See what we did there.

Too big to handle

When someone says “pick on someone your own size”? They mean this exactly. What was this dude thinking? He’s red all over and probably exploding from within, but he’s trying to keep face. His blood tells us otherwise.

BlizzCon 2018 Produces Dazzling Cosplay Again

Every year, gaming giant Blizzard puts on their conference to show off their latest and upcoming releases. This year, at BlizzCon 2018, fans turned out in their droves to take part in the way they always do: by dressing up as their beloved heroes from series such as Warcraft, Diablo and StarCraft.

Blizzard is one of the biggest names in gaming and easily rank among the most influential names in the entertainment as a whole. When they come to town you’ll notice a wonderful upsurge in marines, Zerg, mages, warlocks, paladins and even Tauren to be wandering around. That’s when you know that Blizzard is in town.

And this year, they announced some awesome stuff. The likes of a full remaster for Warcraft III was huge, and made up for the damp squib that was the Diablo mobile release. Despite the bad PR that release got, it’s a shame to see the developers look so lost on stage. The whole announcement was kind of hard to watch, and it just kind of sucks that the organizers left the people on stage announcing what was obviously something that wasn’t going to raise the roof to deal with the sour atmosphere afterward.

Still, fans obviously enjoyed themselves – some of the customers this year were simply breathtaking as you can see here.

From people cutting around as Jim Raynor to people dressed up in some of the Epic World of Warcraft loot from across the years, there was plenty to admire about the cosplay this year. Some of the dress-up was outrageous, with everything from takes on the like of Tracer from Overwatch to the Lord of Terror, Diablo, himself!

People love to go wild at these events, and it’s easy to see everything from proud Protoss to noble Night Elves standing around various stalls together, laughing and talking away. Oh, if only their respective in-game universes could be so harmonious…

From people roaming around as Illidan to those going for a strictly Halloween vibe, this kind of event always bring out the most wacky and wonderful fans of the Blizzard major franchises. Whether you are hugely into Blizzard games or want to just find out what all the fuss is about, you should go along next time: you’ll meet some wonderfully creative people who love to look absolutely outstanding for the occasion!

Dos & Don’ts & Hilarious Online Shopping Fails

Online shopping is a tempting treat. Such luxury was unimaginable fifty years ago. Futuristic movies and novels could only imagine what technology is currently capable of – how, with just the click of a mouse, items we want or need can be bought and shipped right to us. No crowds, no lines, great sales – why leave the house?

People spend hours at a time shopping online (even at work), so it’s safe to say that online shopping is now a key part of the global marketplace.

Yet, as wonderful and time-saving as online shopping can be, the risk of buying something defective or something that just didn’t match what you were looking for is much higher than if you were in the store.

Unfortunately for some, the convenience of an online marketplace ended up being a huge loss – but, luckily for us, some losses are quite hilarious!

Browse through the results below, and have a good laugh thanks to online shopping gone wrong.

A Guinness Record: The Worlds Largest Skateboard!

As one of the most exciting and interesting urban sports around, skateboarding brings people from all backgrounds and personalities to the table. It’s a unique and exciting experience and one that makes it so easy for people to show off their skills and tricks without having to be super-fit. While it does require excellent fitness, balance and accuracy, it’s all about being able to hone the skills and make the most of the moment.

Known for their nimble nature and easy to manage style, skateboards appeal to many people. However, the worlds largest skateboard might just go a little bit over the top with regards to what you might be used to. The largest skateboard in the world is both an amazing feat of engineering, and a feat of physics!

Roughly 12.5x the size of a normal skateboard, this amazing new skateboard is a whopping 11.15m long and 2.64m wide. At around 1.10m tall, too, it takes quite a bit of effort to even board, nevermind drive!

Breaking the 2019 Guinness World Book of Records, this amazing skateboard was made thanks to the “Maker Movement” – a mentality that’s all about creating amazing DIY creations of immense style and unicity. A major part of this came from Joe Ciaglia, the Director over at California Skateparks. Working alongside Rob to help create his normal board in giant size, they used a whopping seven layers of wood to help form the deck, maintaining the shape and décor of the normal board while doing so.

A Feat Of Engineering

Taking around 10 weeks in total to build, they built it from scratch and sans any kind of instructions to follow along the way. Given the sheer size, the wheels had to be made using racing car tyres, and the board needed a steel frame to help make sure that it could support the gargantuan weight of the board.

Indeed, the board is already attracting plenty of attention from interesting parties. People have already come from South America and Asia to see it, showing already just how amazing the popularity of this record-breaking masterpiece has been!

Even the police love it! In fact, the boys explained: “One time in New York we were driving out of Time Square and a police officer pulled me over. I thought I had done something wrong and then he said ‘can I get on your board?’. So he literally pulled me over to take a picture on the skateboard!”

While they’ve obviously had some issues with it – a 35mph collision when going down a hill in Pennsylvania to name one – it’s been well worth all the stress and effort to get it built. It’s been through some damage and needed some repairs already, but we’re sure that this 2019 record is going to stand for quite some time already!

Speaking as part of the Meet the Makers program, Joe said: “It was overwhelming [when the board was complete]. I had the biggest smile on my face. Me and Rob were doing handstands on top of it, we were so excited.

“Being a maker is amazing. Growing up in life I always looked forward to being a Guinness World Records title holder but not having the physical talent to pull something off has given me this great opportunity to be a maker.

It’s been fun. I would recommend anyone out there who has ideas to just try. Who knows you might by the next record holder.”

4 Netflix Originals You Will Probably Binge In 2019

For some time now, it’s been easy to see Netflix as one of the most exciting names in the entertainment industry. Forever producing amazing new content from their own studio, Netflix has far moved on from being a depository to watch on-demand TV as and when you wish. With a studio cranking out some truly tremendous content for 2019 and beyond, what can we expect from Netflix in the near future?

Central Park 5

This will especially be interesting to those of a political mindset. It’s built around the story of the Central Park Five; all sentenced to years in jail for attempted murder. Exonerated following confession, this TV series – directed by Ava DuVernay – is putting together a tremendous looking drama that shines a light on the sordid story that took place here.

This four-episode series is well worth looking out for, especially thanks to a certain someone’ proclamations about the case.

The Last Dance

Another interesting TV series about to come to Netflix is based around basketball star Michael Jordan. It’s going to focus on the basketball legend, who became a legend of competitive sport with his performances for the Chicago Bulls back in the day.

It’s going to be taken on by the excellent Jason Hehir, so we can expect that this will be able to make a positive story come to life. Jordan is easily one of the most influential sportsmen of the modern era, and is a wonderful example of what can be achieved.

Jinn

Cashing in on the substantial love for the supernatural at the moment, 2019’ Jinn is going to really tap into that in the right way. It’s six episodes long, and is going to focus on a group of teenagers who want to try and stop the spirit, Jinn, from being able to wipe out the planet.

It sounds very interesting, and with Mir-Jean Bou Chaaya behind it, it’s likely to be very fun for all of those looking to see what it has to bring to the table. Definitely worth your time if you are looking for a new supernatural show to enjoy.

The Umbrella Academy

Set in the world made up by My Chemical Romance singer Gerard Way, The Umbrella Academy is another comic book adaption turned ‘real’. It’s based around an America where JFK is never gunned down, and it’s going to star some pretty big names in it like Ellen Page and Mary J. Blige. It’s sure to be exciting and if you ever spent any time reading the comic book series then you’ll realise just why there is so much excitement around this at the moment.

It’s going to be arriving in 2019, and is written and produced by Steve Blackman. Definitely one to keep an eye out for.

Watch: Dance Crew Performs Michael Jackson’s Dance Evolution

Ricardo Walker is a dancer and a Michael Jackson impersonator with almost 300,000 subscribers on YouTube. The dancer routinely performs to the King of Pop’s music, and now he’s created a fabulous video of himself dancing to the late singer’s most famous songs. Ricardo made this video himself and his three talented backup dancers performing a medley of Michael Jackson’s greatest hits. All of your favorites are here, and it’s impossible not to boogy in your seat a little once they get rolling!

Michael Jackson was an artist who inspired all the dancers in the world, from a ballet dancer to a hip-hop dancer. Everyone was once impressed by the famous ” moonwalk ” and was touched in some way by his unique talent for dancing. This video is about it, about the incredible legacy he left us in regards to dancing. We are thankful to Michael for the constant inspiration and we just know that everyone will enjoy this video.

Whether you’re a fan of Michael Jackson’s music or not, there’s no denying that he left his own footprint in the history of music and popular culture during his career. In the video, Ricardo and his crew represent the same kind of clothing Michael wore when each hit song hit the charts, including that famous white sparkly glove, those white socks worn with short black pants, and a fedora.

They start with the singer’s early hits, including “Don’t Stop Till You Get Enough,” “Beat It,” “Wanna Be Starting Something,” and everybody’s favorite, “Thriller.” They then move on to later hits like “Billie Jean,” “The Way You Make Me Feel,” “Bad,” “Smooth Criminal,” and others.

In just a few minutes, this talented group covers an entire catalog of Jackson’s music, and they look amazing while doing it! They make those hip thrusts and moonwalks look easy, which is no mean feat considering what an accomplished performer Michael Jackson was during his lifetime. They successfully imitate Jackson’s legendary dance moves that revolutionized the music industry.

He had this incredible technique which he perfectly accomplished the gravity-defying move by leaning his body forward to a perfect 45-degree angle, while keeping it completely straight. We will be forever fascinated by his dance moves and he will be forever the King of Pop.

Each iconic and irreplaceable move will never be topped. How could they be? They were revolutionary. A special kind of rhythm fueled his choreographies in music videos and live performances. He had, after all, been an international superstar since the age of 6, right up until the day of his untimely death in 2009. Standout songs like “Thriller,” “Beat It,” and “Bad” are required listening for anyone who claims to know anything about music.

Movie-Inspired Rides That Have Been Shut Down

We are going to miss these theme park rides. For many years, they have been the most exciting features in the parks. Having a nice ride in the theme parks for your favorite movies is like acting a role in the movies. There was such huge patronage for these parks, so it is surprising that the owners decided to shut them down. So here are the theme parks we discovered have been closed permanently. So sad…

Ghostbusters Spooktacular

We all loved the movie, and it was a thrill to have an adventure at the Spooktacular Show where the ‘ghoulish’ creatures threatened to topple your ride. The theme ride represented the Sci-Fi movie with popular characters such as the Marshmallow man popping out to scare the visitors. Over the years some modifications were done to include the character played by Ricky Moranis. However, the show has been shut down, leaving behind only the memories of the good times.

Twister… Ride It Out!

You must remember the movie Twister, it was one of the best movies of 1996. We expected some sequels to add new twists to the story, but nothing was produced in the years that followed. The show developed with this theme was spectacular. The visitors were made to experience astonishing effects of a tornado while standing on a platform; it was so real. Unfortunately, this park was shut down in 2015. Now you can find the Jimmy Fallon ride in its place, it is good, but we miss the ‘Ride it Out’ experience.

20,000 Leagues Under the Sea Submarine Voyage

In 1954, the 20,000 Leagues ‘Under The Sea’ movie was the inspiration behind the Starboard Ride which featured a high-resolution viewing. It was opened in 1994, and the visitors were thrilled. The ride took the guests through the adventures of Captain Nemo and his band of tourists as they journeyed under the sea for 23 years. Such an adventure but not to be experienced again.

Kongfrontation

King Kong was an awesome hit in the theatres. The Universal Studios had to recreate an amazing adventure at the Florida Island of Adventure. Visitors could have a first-hand experience of the Skull Island. The show was called- The Reign of Kong. It was a spectacular ride; the Kongfrontation experience featured the King Kong in the 1976 movie. Visitors went on a ride on a tram through the Island to escape the angry Kong. Such a thrilling experience. The show was closed in 2002; now visitors can experience the mummy themed ride based on the movie “The Mummy.”

Drop Zone: Stunt Tower

Paramount pictures joined in on the theme park business by developing their themed ride based on the Wesley Snipes movie the drop zone. The ride was successful with so many tourists queuing up for the experience. The Drop Zone theme ride was set-up to compete with the themed rides developed by Disney and Universal Pictures. However, Paramount pictures shifted its focus away from managing theme rides, and the show was closed.

Star Tours

The Star Tours was based on the Star Wars 1977 movie adaptation. The location of Star Tours was in Florida, Paris, California, and Japan. The ride has now been upgraded to feature the newer Star Wars stimulation with an added attraction where 3PO, R2, and D2 are the hosts. There is also a new robot pilot representing RX 24 also called Rex.

Hurler

The theme parked styled after Wayne’s World is one of the parks funded by Paramount Pictures. The comedy themed show included the puking and hurling experience the audience saw on the show. However, Wayne’s World part of the show was canceled in 2000 when the parks where sold.

There are 5 more including Back to The Future and more:

Watch: Paul McCartney Crosses Abbey Road Again

There are a few photos in history that are set inside our collective memory, one of those photos is the iconic photo of the  The Beatles’ showing the quartet crossing Abbey Road. The Photo became the album’s cover and was taken just over a month before the LP’s release. The iconic album, Abbey Road, will turn 49 years old on Sept. 26.

This week Paul McCartney shared to his social media a video of himself crossing the street in the same demeanor to the applause of an onlooking crowd. He was on his way to the Abbey Road Studios for a surprise performance in support of his upcoming solo album, Egypt Station, which is due out on Sept. 7. Mary, Paul’s daughter, filmed the clip. You can watch it below.

The original Abbey Road photograph was taken on Aug. 8, 1969 by Iain Macmillan. In response to its legacy, Abbey Road Studios has launched a live stream that has continuously filmed the street since 2011.

Just like other Beatles albums Abbey Road was a monstrous success, selling over 4 million copies within the first two months of its release. It spent 12 weeks at No. 1 on Billboard’s Top Albums chart. Since then it became a must own classic as of 2011, it had sold over 31 million copies worldwide.
